The Reunion NZ Rugby Show

My letter to Reunion after labeling us moaners:

I like watching Reunion here in South Africa on our pay channel and I like to always see the view from that side of the Indian Ocean. I was just very disappointed in the program you had of the quarter finals. I also think that the Boks didn’t use their opportunities and so forth would have won the game no matter what Bryce Lawrence did. The problem I had about the comments of the team in the studio was that you were saying that the Bok supporters weren’t happy with the one forward pass from Jean de Villiers to Pat Lambie.  That is not the case. The main reason why the SA public is complaining is about the breakdown rule that was in forced through the whole Super 15, tri-nations and the WC pool stages that “a tackler can’t play the ball and need to show some space before attempting to go for it”. This rule for some odd reason that was blown to smithereens this year so far was ignored every time at the breakdown when Pocock took the ball. Pocock wasn’t a cheat and it wasn’t his fault, he just accepted what was handed to him on a plate. So even on the highlight package you showed on how good Pocock was he was the tackler or even one of the tacklers. Below is yet another of his tackling and on one knee poaching attempts. Then there was another “forward pass” later in the game that you guys also didn’t mention that was almost 33degrees backward. So this is why the SA public aren’t happy.
